After Loki takes over Asgard (with the help of Dr. Doom), he imprisons Balder, Heimdall, and Tyr and bounds him to electric chains.
The Ultimate Alliance soon arrive in Asgard to free the three warriors where he believes them to be one of Loki's illusions, but after explaining why they're here he tells them the only way to free him is to free Heimdall and Tyr.
Afterwards, Balder gets freed However, Enchantress and Executioner soon appear to defeat the heroes but, the two are defeated instead and Balder leaves to rally the gods and save Asgard, thanking the Ultimate Alliance.
